Who is Alan Walker, the producer of Faded?

Alan Walker, born on 24 August 1997, in England, is a disc jockey and music producer who began his career in 2012 by opening a YouTube channel under the pseudonym DJ Walkzz. Relatively unknown at the time, it wasn’t until August 2014 that he released a track simply titled “Fade,” which turned out to be an instrumental version of the future hit “Faded.” A few months later, in November 2014, “Fade” was released on the label “NoCopyrightSounds,” or NCS, which specialises in copyright-free electronic music.

After producing several other tracks with this label, DJ Alan Walker signed a contract with Sony and released a version called “Faded,” this time with lyrics, in December 2015. This version was a huge success, particularly in Europe. Since that breakthrough, Alan Walker has released new singles every year, collaborating with artists like Gavin James, Farruko, and Ava Max.

Who is the female singer on the song “Faded”?

The female voice on Alan Walker’s “Faded” is Iselin Solheim, a Norwegian singer born on 20 June 1990. She became interested in music, particularly singing, at a young age, participating in 2007 in a talent show called “Pop Idol” in Norway, which is similar to “American Idol” in the United States. She ranked in the top 40 and then, in 2010, pursued music studies in Liverpool, England.

Returning to Norway in 2012, she released several singles that were successful in her country before being contacted by Sony to sing the lyrics to “Faded” to music by Alan Walker, although her name was not credited. Since then, Iselin Solheim has continued to release singles and has also co-written songs for various artists in the Baltic States and Eastern Europe.

It should also be noted that Alan Walker has performed live concerts with other singers such as Tove Styrke and Torine.
