Unlock your inner peace by playing this handcrafted handpan

Forget the myths peddled by some sellers about the handpan’s ancient Eastern origins: this instrument was created in Switzerland in 2000 by Felix Rohner and Sabina Schärer. Unlike the Hang, whose production was discontinued in 2014 to preserve its exclusivity, the handpan is now crafted by many passionate artisans. At Instruments du Monde, every instrument is tested by hand, and the notes are hand-hammered, ensuring consistent quality at a price that is often lower than the competition’s. Its welded steel construction, faithful to the original design, projects vibrational waves over a radius of several metres, creating an enveloping atmosphere conducive to meditation. Whether during outdoor sessions, in natural amphitheatres, or from the comfort of your own home, the handpan radiates its vibrations over an area large enough to envelop every participant. Zen practitioners appreciate its tuning in C or D, as well as its instant calming effect on stress. Whether you’re a music therapist, a yogi, or simply an enthusiast, you’ll feel the power of its frequencies arranged according to a perfect ratio, creating a true inner symphony. Experience the handcrafted handpan and order your instrument today.

Dive into the wonderful world of the handpan through workshops

To quickly immerse yourself in the world of the handpan, nothing beats participating in handpan workshops and courses offered in many cities across France and Europe. These introductory or advanced sessions, often organised by makers or associations, include the use of a loan instrument and professional instruction. You can purchase gift vouchers to treat your loved ones to a private lesson, a half-day introductory workshop, or even an immersive weekend retreat. The workshops, led by instructors such as Miloon or David Charrier, combine theory, practice, and interaction among participants. The instructional materials provided include graphic sheet music and tutorial videos to make learning easier. In some regions, workshops are held outdoors, on beaches or in forests, to provide a setting conducive to creativity and relaxation. Get a handpan as soon as possible and sign up for one of the many workshops sure to be available near you.

Try the handpan in a relaxing and calming setting

For several years now, relaxation and well-being professionals have been incorporating the handpan into their practices. Indeed, the distinctive and soothing sounds of this percussion instrument often have a positive effect on both the mind and the body. As a result, it is now common to find this instrument used in yoga or meditation sessions. Furthermore, some handpans are tuned to a frequency of 432 hertz, a frequency said to reduce stress and calm the mind, although further studies are needed to substantiate all these claims. Nevertheless, the handpan, with entry-level prices ranging from around NZ$2,000 to NZ$2,900, is a worthwhile and long-lasting investment for anyone who wants to enhance their daily life through sound. Order your next handpan today to discover a whole new dimension of relaxation and well-being.
