In any of these situations, it’s essential to replace the head on your African drum. The djembe heads sold here are made from natural goatskin approximately 1 mm thick for top-quality acoustics. Durable and flexible, they come pre-cut in a round shape and are ready to be installed directly on your percussion instrument. Several diameters are available to fit the size of your djembe. You’ll find heads ranging from 30 to 50 cm. When choosing a diameter, we recommend measuring your djembe’s head and selecting a replacement head that is 15 to 20 cm larger in diameter. Or simply measure the diameter of your old head and choose the same size.
