Choose an 18-inch (45 cm) handpan so you can take it with you everywhere
While most handpans measure between 20–23.6 in (50–60 cm), this model is smaller yet still produces pleasant, relaxing acoustic vibrations. With an 18-inch (45 cm) diameter, this compact handpan can absolutely deliver the resonant voice you’d expect from a larger model. Made entirely of stainless steel, the nine notes of this percussion instrument are tuned to a G minor scale. You can also choose between the standard 440 Hz frequency and the more exotic 432 Hz. Thanks to its compact size, this 18 in (45 cm) handpan is ideal for musicians looking for a lighter, more travel-friendly model. Its smaller format also means a more accessible price, which is perfect for percussionists who want a great-sounding handpan on a budget. Finally, the silver finish, accented with bronze in the tone fields, is sure to win you over. Treat yourself to this miniature handpan and explore its huge artistic possibilities.

Discover the Hang, unveiled for the first time in Frankfurt
In April 2001, designers Félix Rohner and Sabina Schärer of PANArt introduced the original Hang at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany. Visitors were particularly surprised by the sounds a simple metal object could produce when struck. Those tones were largely made possible by a special material called Pang, a type of nitrogen-nitrided steel developed by PANArt specifically for its instruments. The first generation of Hang Drum featured 45 unique sound models—an exceptionally wide range—with names such as Ake Bono, Hijaz, Pygmy, Melog, and Zhi Diao. To acquire one of these 5,000 limited-edition instruments produced between 2001 and 2005, musicians had to send a handwritten letter explaining their motivations and wait months, even years, to receive an invitation to the workshop in Bern and finally purchase their own Hang. All that is now a thing of the past, as you can order your handpan right now.
Harness the celestial frequencies of the handpan for intense meditation today
On September 9, an article highlighted how the handpan, an idiophone instrument born in Switzerland in 2000, is reinventing relaxation. Created by Félix Rohner and Sabina Schärer in the PANArt workshops in Bern, the original Hang—nearly impossible to buy since 2014 without a written letter of intent—inspired the modern handpan. Made from two welded nitrided-steel half-shells, it radiates sound 360° thanks to its tri-tone tuning (fundamental tone, octave, and fifth), encouraging deep relaxation and a greater sense of well-being. Music therapists and practitioners of receptive meditation and art therapy incorporate it into sound-massage sessions, yoga flow, and even meditative coloring workshops to calm the mind. Unlike the unpleasant infrasound emitted by a poorly adjusted fan, the handpan’s vibrations are tuned to feel comfortable and soothing. You can also listen to it on CD or online video to recreate the atmosphere of a meditation center at home. Enjoy this concentrated source of serenity—order your handpan today.
Explore the meditative dimension of the handpan today
Today, the handpan is widely used by sophrologists, relaxation practitioners, and therapists for its remarkable abilities in sophrology, meditation, and music therapy. Thanks to its harmonic frequencies and fluid notes, it creates a state of deep calm and promotes concentration. Many specialized facilities, such as wellness centers and traveling spas, now incorporate the handpan into their sessions. Just a few strikes on the central note, called the "ding," and its 7 or 8 associated tones are enough to feel an almost instantaneous calming effect. No musical training is required, making it accessible to everyone, including novices and patients suffering from post-traumatic stress. Group music therapy workshops use the handpan to encourage non-verbal expression and strengthen group cohesion. Recordings of sessions are also available as playlists to prolong the experience at home. If you want to diversify your wellness practices or support your patients with a unique sound tool, invest in a handpan. Order your handpan now to enjoy this soothing sound experience.
Immerse yourself in the nomadic origins of the handpan with Panacea
The handpan has nomadic roots dating back to 2012, when Klaïm organized the first "Rendez-vous du Hang®" before launching Panacea in 2013, the first national Hang® and handpan gathering in France. This event, which took place in an orchard near Paris, brought together enthusiasts for improvised jams and world instruments. Carried in a simple case, the handpan brought together amateur and professional musicians, many inspired by the music of the film La Vie d’Adèle (Palme d’or 2013) composed by Klaïm himself. At the heart of the experience, the handpan’s portability facilitates your musical journeys, letting you improvise in a variety of locations, from rural farms to urban squares. By joining these first gatherings, you will explore the creative universe of this instrument invented in 2000 by PANArt, while joining a network of enthusiasts enriched by festivals such as GRIASDI, HANGAOUT, and the Handpan Festival in Sauvian. Pack your handpan and write the next chapter of this musical adventure today.
