Unfortunately, the Whale Drum only saw modest success, and Jim Doble soon faded into obscurity. A few years later, Dennis Havlena refined the concept. His impressive design became the tongue drum, which notably stood out thanks to the addition of neodymium magnets that allowed for precise tuning.
