How do you use a Tibetan singing bowl for the heart chakra during a session?

To begin, breathe deeply for 2 to 3 minutes to relax your chest, then lie down—the ideal position—or remain seated if you prefer. Next, hold your Tibetan singing bowl above the center of your chest and strike it gently so the vibration can spread. Alternatively, you can simply play it near your chest. Once the note has faded, remain still and silent for 30 to 60 seconds before moving.
Short, regular sessions will be more beneficial than infrequent, long ones. A few minutes several times a week is enough for this practice, with each session lasting 5 to 15 minutes. If you’re hypersensitive to sound, lower the volume by striking the bowl more gently. If strong emotions arise, shorten the session and take time to breathe.
Where does tradition place Anahata, the heart chakra, and what does it associate with it?
In the Hindu yoga tradition, Anahata is the fourth chakra among the seven major chakras. It is located in the center of the chest at heart level, though tradition distinguishes this center from the physical organ. Its element is air, and its associated sense is touch. Tradition also links it to the skin and hands.
Above all, it is the center of compassion. Tradition also associates it with selfless love, which some texts call charity without selfishness, as well as balance and relationships with others. The Hindu tradition also associates Anahata with the note F, making F the note to select for a Tibetan singing bowl for the heart chakra.
