Tibetan Singing Bowl for the Solar Plexus Chakra
The Tibetan singing bowl for the solar plexus chakra supports your work with Manipura, the third chakra, which tradition places above the navel and associates with fire, willpower, and self-confidence. If you’d like to focus on this center, Instruments du Monde offers both crystal and metal models, all tuned to E. Play them as you chant the RAM mantra to enjoy a true moment of calm in every session.

How do you make a Tibetan singing bowl for the solar plexus chakra resonate during a session?

When you are not pregnant, you can place your Tibetan singing bowl on your solar plexus, just above your navel, during a session. Gently strike it several times for as long as it feels pleasant. You can imagine the vibrations spreading through your upper body like ripples from a stone thrown into a lake. Then let the sound fade, remove the bowl, and spend a few moments in silence. If you prefer to play without placing the bowl on your body, you can slowly rub its rim or strike it once, then move it from side to side and up and down in front of you.
In most cases, simply select the note E under the “Key” or “Note” option when ordering; other models are sold only in E. Many of our bowls also have a “Frequency” option, allowing you to choose 440 or 432 hertz. You’ll find bowls in frosted crystal, rock crystal, quartz, rose quartz, or glass.
What does tradition say about a blocked solar plexus, and how can it be strengthened?
Tradition associates a blocked solar plexus with recurring self-doubt or difficulty making decisions. Feelings of helplessness and loss of control are also among the signs, as are a need for approval and a fear of failure. To strengthen it, tradition suggests the sound of a bowl tuned to E alongside chanting the RAM mantra. It also suggests yoga poses that engage the core, such as boat pose, plank pose, and bow pose, as well as the Sun Salutation. Another practice is the breath of fire, called kapalabhati, which involves a series of short, forceful exhalations with passive inhalations. There is also Rudra mudra, a hand gesture.
These signs are intended as prompts for self-reflection, not as medical symptoms. A bowl never replaces medical treatment. Any health concern must therefore be brought to a doctor.
