How do you use a Tibetan singing bowl for the sacral chakra during a session?

For a seated session, find a quiet spot and sit with your spine straight, holding the Tibetan singing bowl in the palm of one hand and the mallet in the other. Take a few slow breaths, focus on your lower abdomen, and imagine an orange light. Then make the bowl sing by rubbing its rim, preferably for at least 5 minutes. This is simply one way to do it, not a rule.
If you have a small or medium-sized metal bowl and are not pregnant, you can place it on your lower abdomen while lying on your back. Place a thin towel or piece of clothing between the bowl and your skin, and warm the metal in your hands first. Progress at your own pace: play the bowl from a distance, then on the fabric, and finally directly on your skin if you feel comfortable. Strike gently near the rim and let the sound fade before striking again. If you have unexplained abdominal pain, have recently had surgery, or have a recent scar, an implant, or sensitive skin, it is best to refrain or play from a distance and seek medical advice. Stop the session if you develop a headache, hear ringing in your ears, or feel discomfort.
In this collection, most bowls let you select the note D from their options when ordering. Some crystal models let you choose between 440 Hz and 432 Hz tuning, while others are available only in D.
What mantra should you chant with a Tibetan singing bowl for the sacral chakra?
The mantra for the sacral chakra is VAM. It appears at the center of this chakra’s symbol and is pronounced with an extended vowel, like “vaam.” According to tradition, it resonates in the lower abdomen.
To pair it with your instrument, sound the bowl and repeat the mantra VAM with each tone, aloud or silently, taking your time. You can also rub the bowl’s rim with a felt mallet to produce a soft, continuous sound to accompany your voice. Outside of sessions, you can repeat the mantra on its own throughout the day.
