Who composed the main theme for the film Jurassic Park?
Composer John Williams wrote the main theme, as well as the nine other tracks featured on the soundtrack of the 1993 film Jurassic Park. Williams, who is also a conductor and pianist, is best known for composing a huge number of film scores, especially for movies directed by Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. You can hear John Williamsâ work in the Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Jaws franchises.
Born in 1932 in New York, John Williams began learning piano at the age of 7 and devoted his studies to the instrument. He composed several jazz pieces before moving into television work in the early 1960s. His collaborations with Steven Spielberg in the 1970s, and later with George Lucas, led him to write some of his most celebrated music, now recognized worldwide. Today, John Williams is widely regarded as one of the greatest film composers of all time.

What is the difference between Jurassic Park and Jurassic World?
Jurassic World is actually a sequel to Jurassic Parkâthe fourth film in the seriesâset 22 years later. The year after Jurassic Park III hit theaters in 2001, Steven Spielberg announced that a fourth installment was being considered. Originally scheduled for release in 2005, Jurassic Park 4 was postponed several times, first due to script changes, then following the successive deaths of Stan Winston, who helped bring the animatronic dinosaurs to life, and Michael Crichton, author of the novels that inspired Jurassic Park. While the project seemed to be on hold, Universal Pictures announced in 2013 that a sequel would indeed be made. It was released in 2015 under the title Jurassic World.
It should also be noted that a sequel to Jurassic World was released in 2018 under the name Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and another installment was planned for 2022. It would be titled Jurassic World: Dominion and directed by Colin Trevorrow, bringing the total number of feature films to six.
